Halloween, 2010. i decided to put out a handful of albums under a bunch of different aliases, portraying a handful of different characters. this eventually became NonPlayable Records, a fictional record label.
NPC, the cybernetically enhanced drum and bass musician.
+VANCE, chiptune and fun time enthusiast.
lakitu.sound, a producer of post rock, downtempo, glitch, and soundscapes.
Sludjj, a dubstep brostep coolguy, just looking to have a good time with friends.
and exYSS, twin brother of NPC, a twisted crazy douchebag. also, breakcore musician, sometimes?
NonPlayable Records lasted until i got tired of it, basically. i loved the characters i came up with, and had a big, dumb headcanon regarding every year of its existence, but honestly, that's not important. what's important is the music that was written over those four years. what's important is that some of the music i wrote over those four years is still pretty tolerable. i hope you enjoy it.
every aspect of NonPlayable Records evolved into what i am today. i'm sure you can hear bits and pieces, crammed into my biweekly remixes, or NPC's original works.
it was a hell of a ride. i hope you're ready for the next episode.
